Fairfield County Resident Wins $390,000 CT Lottery 'Lucky For Life' Prize

A lucky CT Lottery player cashed in a six-figure prize on a ticket sold at a Fairfield County doughnut shop.

On Tuesday, Feb. 8, a lottery player from Fairfield - who chose to remain anonymous - won $390,000 on a "Lucky for Life" ticket that was sold at Daybreak Douguts on Madison Avenue in Bridgeport.

"Lucky for Life" costs $2 per wager, according to CT Lottery, and players fill in a play slip by choosing 5 different "white" ball numbers from 1 to 48, and one "yellow" Lucky Ball number from 1 to 18, or through a random "Quick Pick" draw.

There are "Lucky for Life" draws each night. 

According to CT Lottery, “when a winning scratch ticket is validated through a Lottery Retailer's terminal, the remaining number of unclaimed prizes for that prize level is automatically updated reflecting one less prize. Until the individual or group presents their winning ticket for claim at CT Lottery Headquarters, the identity of a winner is unknown.”

That wasn't the only lucky lotto player. Other recent winners of prizes topping $10,000, according to CT Lotto include:

  • On Feb. 8, Winsted resident Amauri Tavarez Almonte won $150,000 playing "POWERBALL" on a ticket sold at the Winsted Grocery;
  • A winning $30,000 "30X Cash 9th Edition" ticket was sold to a Terryville resident that was sold at Smokers Mart in Thomaston on Feb. 8;
  • On Feb. 8, Colchester resident Thomas Pereira, Jr. won $30,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Vernon Shell in Vernon;
  • On Feb. 8, Waterbury resident Antonietta Giugno won $30,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Waterbury Exxon;
  • On Feb. 8, Norwalk resident Willie Sadler, Jr. won $25,002 playing "KENO" on a ticket sold at One Stop Variety in Norwalk;
  • On Feb. 8, Stratford resident Andrew Ciambriello won $10,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Trumbull Food Mart;
  • A winning $25,624 "PLAY4 NIGHT" ticket was sold to a Middlebury resident that was sold at Allen Fresh Middlebury on Feb. 8;
  • On Wednesday, Feb. 9, Stratford resident Yvette Cash won $10,000 playing "30X Cash 9th Edition" on a ticket sold at the 24/7 Express in Stratford;
  • A winning $20,000 "20X Cash 7th Edition" ticket was sold to a Southington resident that was sold at Boru's Bar & Grill in Waterbury on Feb. 9;
  • On Feb. 9, Branford resident Thomas Corcoran won $10,000 playing "10X Cash 15th Edition" on a ticket sold at the Afz Foodmart in West Haven;
  • On Feb. 9, Danbury resident Yogesh Saini won $20,000 playing "20X Cash 7th Edition" on a ticket sold at Hat City Wine & Liquor in Danbury;
  • On Feb. 9, Hamden resident Krystyna Nestir won $30,000 playing "PLAY4 NIGHT" on a ticket sold at the Milford Rite Aid;
  • On Feb. 9, Wallingford resident Joseph Steeves won $10,000 playing "10X Cash 15th Edition" on a ticket sold at Caraluzzi's Georgetown Market in Wilton;
  • On Feb. 9, Windsor resident Ronnie Alexander won $60,000 playing "KENO" on a ticket sold at the Deerfield Package store in Windsor;
  • On Feb. 9, Danbury resident Michael Marques won $10,000 playing "KENO" on a ticket sold at Sam's Food in Bethel.
